We began the still life by tempering our canvas with jesso. After a layer of jesso we coated the canvas in burnt sienna.
We made inexact outlines of each item in the still life and tweaked there locations until they were where they needed to be.
We began to firm up the objects in the still life, adding definite shapes and color.
The pot was drawn by establishing two halves and finding where it began and stopped on the book. The pot had a darker brown color that was slightly green and orange and was reflecting light on the right side of the body and spout.
After completing the drawing of each item and giving it color we added shadows and highlights where needed.
